Best Used Spotting Scope Under 500 Bucks

Interested in feedback here on used Spotters under 500 bucks. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Not necessarily under $500, but you can get your hands on the gen 1 vortex razor with the fine tune adjustment knob, it is superior to the gen 2, and its for sale for $500-$900 all day long here or on eBay.

I have one that I was trying to sell for awhile, but I’ve since lent to out to a buddy while he is between spotters. He was also impressed with its quality considering he was previously used to a swaro.

Worth looking for, for sure.

I really like my Kowa 602 with the fixed 30x Wide eyepiece. You can get that package for under $500 on eBay if you keep an eye out. It’s a very nice wide FOV and a small light package.
A much nicer view than any compact variable scope that I’ve tried

Leupold Gold Ring 12-40 x60. Either the HD or std one. Buy this and use happily forever or until you save enough sheckels to upgrade to whatever. I own way to many spotters and the above mentioned scope as well as a Swarovski ATC are the only ones I am keeping. The Leupy is really easy to get behind (30mm eye relief) . Also light,compact and easy to carry as well as great optically. There are better scopes ,Swaro etc. but they are not available for $500.

Nikon FS2 or FS3 ED is untouchable in that price range.

Another nod for a gen 1 razor 85mm. I think I sold mine for around 500. I’ve killed a lot of elk due to that spotter.

I have one and I love it, that price is crazy cheap for a scope of this quality. Not excessively large or heavy. Just a sold scope for the range and backpacking. I'm not a glass snob but I'd say this is on par with the gen II razor I used to have, for less than half the price.
