Title says it all…what are you guys recommending for a 243 and 6.5 CM to swap back and forth?

There will be plenty of votes for airlock zero gravity, OS OG 6.5, TBAC 7, AB10 Raptor.
@Reece123 you can’t go too wrong with any of them. Just depends on what is most important to you - cost, weight, length, type of manufacturing, etc.
I have a ZG 6.5 and a tbac ultra 5. I’d probably not get the ultra 5 again, it’s loud.

Honestly cost is about at the bottom of the list, while effectiveness and mobility being the top of the list. I’ve been at the range before with people shooting suppressors and I’m wondering why the hell they even bought them because I couldn’t tell a difference in suppressed vs not suppressed

I don’t have a 6.5 cm but I also use a Dead Air Nomad, mine is the base one, on a 243 and 30-06 and it works well. I have the 6mm front cap for it but never use it, just use the 30 cal cap for both rifles.

If you want what is available currently, then I recommend the OG 6.5 or the ZG 6.5. I’ve used them both and they are great cans that only add ~4” to your barrel length.

As long as you don’t get a Scythe, you should be fine.

If you walk into a brick and mortar suppressor shop, I would venture to say they will most likely recommend the Silencer Co Scythe Ti. If you haven’t skimmed through the thread here yet, I highly suggest you do before walking into a store.

I am getting an OG6.5, and plan to add one of the airlock options in the future. There are lots of other solid choices too. For more commonly found options (these tend to be .30 cal cans) I would look at the Dead Air Nomad TI XC, Diligent Defense Enticer STi, or not quite as common CGS Hyperion K.

I just bought a DA Nomad Ti XC today but I’m thinking the triple six that US/UM is doing is going to be nice.

The fact they delayed the release back to ensure it’s a measurable gain above the OG 65 is commendable.

Seems like everyone that has been around the airlock stuff is very impressed.

I use a KGM r30 on a 7mm and 6mm normally, would not hesitate to buy it again if I had to do it all over

PTR Vent 1 would probably sound pretty great, but I personally would go with an OCL Hydrogen in 6.5 bore, either S or L length (probably S). I have a Vent 1, but the OCL performance + warranty + cost is pretty great.

Another vote for Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen S in 6.5 bore. Have one that floats between an 18in 6.5 PRC, 18 in 6.5 Creedmoor and a 16 in 223 and its fantastic on all three.

For hunting specific unless barrels are real short - OG 6.5 or Airlock ZG 6.5.

Id probably get a nomad xc, US reaper, or Stealth Additive Works Orev if shooting higher volume at the range though.

My first choice is US OG6.5, as I prefer OTB cans and ones that are designed for high volume shooting and still light in weight.
Second choice would be Airlock ZG6.5 but it would only be used for hunting purposes.
Both are from high quality companies who are pushing the can market to new levels.

Curious about these two.I have an ultra 7 Gen two but looking for something for hunting with the best combo of weight and suppression.
I use a 16 inch fieldcraft in 6.5 and waiting on my 16 inch T3x to get here.
Give me the total unbiased opinion of the two.
I like th weight of the zg and really like the look of the og6.5 over the 16 in barrel.

I have posted enough about these two suppressors and I don’t think a person could go wrong with either one.

Literally the only thing I don’t like about the OG is that the finish inside the reflex is rough and it scratches every barrel on which I have put it. I can’t seem to hold it steady enough no matter what I do. My AB Raptors don’t do that.

Literally the only thing I don’t like about the ZG is that I can only shoot about 10 shots in 40-degree weather before I have to let it cool down for a few minutes. I usually set a 5-minute timer after every ten shots. But, it makes a great hand warmer!

What are you using for a wrap?

Might consider muffler felt covered by silicone wrap then vet wrap.
