Best sub 4lb tripod for shooting and glassing?

I have an innorel tripod I got off amazon, it is way sturdy and can easily be shot off.

It is a little more than 1# heavier with ball head but right at 4# with out the head, but price is not bad. They have a bunch of different options though, and the 44# max weight tripod weighs in sub 4# with ball head it appears.

my model is the GT324C, but there are a bunch of other varieties. The GT284C was the one above mentioned sub 4# with ball head.

Curious as I have a similar question as OP. So I just grabbed C.4 x18 binos from Maven that I would like to use as a spotting scope for game. I hear they are heavy but having a second eye relief is good for longevity of spotting sessions. I have no interest in shooting off a tripod at this point in time.

A friend recommended me the Tricer BC tripod and LP Head… but that’s like $600. I’m looking for a light weight set-up as I hike (no motors or animals) to pack in, and I’m in Idaho so everything is up a mountain both directions.

With no successful experience glassing, it’s very hard to know what I want. I am of the mindset but once-cry once, but at the same time I’m unsure if that’s really the right for me. I have a pad that I sit on, a pair of 10x42s that I glass with currently, a thoughts? Was the Maven glass a good move, too?

What do you Opticheads recommend?

I’m back and forth between the Aziak backcountry tripod with wiser precision bt20 head and the Aziak ridgeline.

Neither I see myself shooting from the standing. The Aziak ridgeline is the lightest I’ve seen and has no center colum. The backcountry has the option for a center column or not - and with the wider head I’m only at 1.5lbs. I am willing to deal with a little extra weight on the Aziak/wiser set up for a pan/ball head combo.

But if you want something you can shoot from the standing, you’ll want to look elsewhere
