Good spotting scopes can be found for that price, but you'll need to buy used. You can find the older model Zeiss spotters for about $1,000 and I see the Vortex Razor 85MM's go for $1,000 from time to time as well. The chances of finding a Swaro for that price is slim, but keep an eye on the classified sections on some of the forums and you may get lucky. If anything comes my way, I'll let you know.
