West Texas fall thunder storm.

This storm rolled up on us last year during 1st elk in northern Colorado. It didn't get TOO bad but it was pretty windy with no shortage of lightning and some small hail.

Nuts! Reminds me of outrunning a haboob in Arizona, literally the day I rolled of the lot in my new truck lol

From last summer sometime, IIRC - managed to finish up a quick afternoon shoot just as the sun was going down, just as a pretty nasty thunderstorm was moving in. Not as bad of weather as some of what's been posted, but the contrast was pretty cool:

Last picture taken as a complete whiteout set in. Had to cover 5 miles back to my truck in zero visibility. I consider my navigation skills above average but on this day on-X was my saving grace. Going forward I will always carry a battery bank as my phone was about dead from digi-scoping all day. Had to use on-X sparingly and the thought of my phone dying did bring on low level panic. Crazy things happen in September above 12k!

Screenshot from a video of a dust storm that hit me the other day. View is from inside my tool trailer. That greenhouse is 144’ long, the laser obscured by the dust was about 80’ from my trailer. It got worse while I was scrambling to pick up tools.

Sugarloaf fire making its own weather and the lightning that caused the fire from a few days before. I have video of the fire making its own lightning the night it put that cloud up. They say it hit 44k feet.

This was a new one for me. Hunting turkeys in near white out conditions. All that snow fell in under an hour.
