Best Scope for long range

You can use any of the high end SFP scopes for what you want to do, I have a pair of Trijicon 5-25x50's in SFP that are MRAD. I also have a couple NF in MOA also. I would recommend the Trijicon first, just because of the price point.

I don't dial either and never will. The dialers will tell you how stupid and uninformed you are for even thinking of owning a SFP scope. I know, I have had this argument many times. Been at this for 60 years, I think I know what works for me and I have not lost an animal nor have I had to track an animal for more than 50 yards after shooting it. And I have shot at some considerable distance.

So come on dialers, tell us what idiots us SFP non dialers are.

You’re smarter than me. I can’t remember to make sure I’m on the correct zoom for my subtensions to work.

Any scope with a reticle will work. Dial for elevation hold for wind is the right way. If it’s 400 plus yards you have time.

How do you hold over and hold for wind at the same time?

For the OP….i assume you are aware that with 2nd focal plane your poi will change as you zoom? That also means the same for your Christmas tree reticle or hash marks. Over a decade ago I used the Swaro models with the TDS reticle. That was the best at the time. I’ve moved to FF and dial up. Combined with new ballistic apps and rangefinder’s it’s simple.
