How does it work for a side sleeper? Looks to thin to be as comfortable as some of the other options, especially if you're like me and don't like your pad super firm.
It's just ok a t best for side sleepers. I would go thicker if you sleep on your side most of the time.

I've had the nemo tensor insulated for 2 years, no complaints.

However, the sea to summit comfort plus insulated seems interesting with the dual layer chamber, if you're willing to take the weight penalty.

I used a Thermarest Trail Pro this year. It's a large, a little heavy at 2 lbs 4 oz but in my opinion it was worth every ounce.

I had the Nemo Tensor this year as well. Very happy with it.

The exped warranty is great, I've used it three times now. I have one of the UL pads and one of the downmat pads, each of them has blown baffles on me on backpacking trips, the UL twice. They are a great company to deal with customer service wise, they've replaced each pad no questions asked, but I'm going to try the xtherm for a while. Trying to sleep on the exped with a blown baffle is nearly impossible, and really frustrating when your miles and miles in.

I concerned about this as well. The specs look great but I don't want to blow a baffle a couple nights in. I'm over 200 and have read a lot of reviews recently (within the past year) of blown center baffles with much less weight.

Never blown a baffle myself at 260+, but this may be because I don't sleep well on a firm pad. My guess is that many blown baffles come from over-inflation. If you like this firm of a pad why do you need a 4" thick pad? There are lighter options that are much thinner.

What pad are you using or referring to? I'm looking at the hyperlite LW which is under a pound and 2.75 thick inflated. What lighter options are you referring to?

I was referring to the Synmat UL7/9 and the BA QCores which are the only ones I've heard complaints of blown baffles. Was referring to the Thermarest XTherm and XLite as lighter options for guys that over-inflate, but I guess they're roughly the same weight as your hyperlite. Has the Hyperlite had blowout problems based on the reviews you've seen?
