Well, don't know what took so long, but I found this forum and glad that I did! I don't really do the crazy 5-10 day hunts, so I'm looking for a pack that will carry some gear a little food and maybe a sleeping bag. Primarily, I will use the pack only for shed hunting so I'm not looking for a huge pack. I just saw the Kifaru shed net thing, but what pack would be the best for my needs? Looks like the icon pro 3200 might be sufficient as well. Price point around $500 but can go higher. Also, I'm 5'7 so something on the shorter end. Pattern/Color isn't a deal breaker. I want something nice though like a Kifaru, Kuiu, SG, or Evo. Sorry for all of my rambling on here, but looking at all of the packs available is exhausting so I'm hoping for some insight. Thanks guys, this forum looks tits.

Thanks man! Just found the forum today and spent about 6 hours (school was cancelled so I had the kids home) scouring and reading. I read two reviews, but didn't see that one yet. Will read tomorrow.

Looks like it would be hard to beat the way the pics shown by realunlucky posted. I will say there are so many options with Kifaru you will find what you want.

Thanks for the responses guys! Any idea if the new thing Kifaru put out is universal with all of their bags? If so, what is a good bag on the smaller end?

Looks like the Kifaru is interchangeable with each pack. Tough decision, both The Kifaru and EXO look like what I'm after.

I would hang a MSR dromedary from the frame, nalgene bottle in a kifaru water bottle holder on the belt, snacks in a belt pouch.

Depending on how you shed hunt, just about any high end pack will do it. The newer exo packs do great, but I like the Kifaru frame better. After seeing the cargo net, I really think it will become the new high mark for shed packs. I use two large side pockets and a guide lid for 3 day bivy trips, and just the guide lid and one pocket for day trips.
