Best overall rifle for guys over 70

I have a 300 WM that I had made over 30 years ago with a thin Hart Barrel and McMillan stock. That is my elk rifle and I've killed my biggest whitetail with it too. It's light enough. No changes planned. For hunting deer back east, I've switched from my '06 to a 5 lb 7-08 that is really just a Model 7 with a 12 oz fiberglass stock. It has a 20" barrel and is an easy carry when walking around the Appalachian mountains. I could use it for elk, but I would have to switch out the 1.5x5 Leupold I have on it.

Been shooting my 270 Weatherby since I was 14 years old. Will be 74 in one week and heading to Newfoundland this fall for moose. Just have to take her just because I am so used to it. Killed my first moose with it when I was 16. Contemplating taking my 358 Norma mag as a backup but that one punishes my shoulder. It’s heavy too.
