Best of Both Worlds

I use a Seek Outside revolutiion frame for everything (EDC included). I swap bags depending on use. I would not touch a 'backpacking' pack with a ten foot pole.

I have a ton of packs (just ask my wife! ) from sub 16 oz very UL packs to full meat haulers.

If I was forced to choose one pack to backpack year round with AND hunt with, probably would choose a Seek Outside. They are the lightest option that will still haul meat.

You mentioned Kifaru- very nice hunting pack, but nothing light about them.
