Going to be hunting all over western part of the United States and I am looking for an all around good setup of Kuiu clothing.

I hunt my home state of MT from September Archery to late rifle. I own the Kuiu attack pants and a few of their merino shirts. I also have the Guide pants/jacket. I hardly ever wear the guide pants (it has to be dang cold for me to put them on). I'll wear the guide jacket early morning until my body heats up from walking, then it comes off and goes in my pack. I will also wear the jacket if I'm glassing and it's a bit chilly. A few things I think are worth buying are their merino base layer tops and bottoms. and I'm going to pick up the guide vest for early September mornings. One thing I forgot to mention, I have the guide gloves. They are great but my hands have been cold a time or two during late rifle season. Nothing that my elk skin mittens can't fix though! I don't have either the merino or guide beanie but I'm not a big fan of beanies. I'll typically put the merino neck gaitor over my ears and call it good.

That's a very broad question.

How many days a year?
Time of year?
Type of hunting?
What do you have already?
Budget?
Have you called KUIU customer service and asked this question?

I agree with Justin. I really like their Yukon gaiters too. I don't currently own the chugach (have before but sold) and instead have first lite stormtight.

Are you absolutely dedicated to going all Kuiu? They have great stuff, and so do other companies (First Lite, for example)
I have the Kuiu Yukon jacket and pants. And the puffy jacket. Great stuff. The socks? The best for my feet.
I also have merino base layers, but I truly prefer the FL merino over the Kuiu. It just feels better. Less itchy to me as well.
I used the Corrugate pant at the end of Sept in Colorado and loved them. And the Red Desert Boxers are fantastic.
The animals don't care which designer you choose. Why not mix em up a bit?

Thanks for the suggestion! Would the kenai jacket be worth looking at?

All season, also do some hunting in Ohio, I currently have nothing, most of my hunting is done in Ohio, so i don't have much good hunting cloths, more like put on every shirt you own kinda thing. Plan on hunting a lot out west and want to get a jump on buying gear. I don't really have a budget but I don't want to be spending anymore than I have to but I'm willing to pay the money if I'm going to have it for a long time.

There are warmer puffy jackets for glassing, but it's a good jacket. Warmer than a nano puff jacket for example. The sizing in the arms is too small in my opinion, but the body is good. If you hunt late season and hike a lot it's a good jacket, otherwise I'd look at the superdown hooded maybe. The kenai compresses well. And it's crazy quiet.

Since you asked here's an example.of what I run sep-nov and during the spring.

Chugach rain gear
Alpine pant and attack pant (later season)
Peleton 240 hoody (I also have a sitka traverse I really like)
Merino base layers
Kenai puffy
Sitka flash gaiters

I can run that pretty much all year, I would add a down hooded puffy to my kit for later season if I had extra cash. Clothing layers depends a lot on how active you are when you hunt. I love the hoody because they breath well and are really e as y to manage core temp with, I don't have to stop and change every hour with them.

If you are set on Kuiu make sure you call theor customer service with your measurements....their gear sizing varies between pieces.

Has anyone used the Teton rain gear? Everyone says about the chugach but I don't wanna spend that much on rain gear. If it's gonna make that much of a difference I won't mind but let me know what you think?

the Kuiu that I had picked out for an early season archery in CO was
145 ls T upper base
145 zip off bottoms
the Alpine pant
and a 240 full zip upper
just not sure if I should need anything else as far as bottoms. if I need more jacket other than what I have listed.
anyone want to chime in feel free
would rain gear be a must also?

I have attack pants, Chugach jacket and pants, merino base layers, and the Kenai puffy. Its a pretty good layering system that covers most bases. Oh and the guide vest, anlot of people dont like vests but i find it pretty vesitile for a small weight penalty. I perfer it over a softshell since i already have the rain jacket. And i can wear it over the ouffy to help with wind / durability
