I want opinions what you all think is the best hoodie for hunting! I’ve had various ones over the years, FL, black orvis etc. I can’t find the perfect one I can just throw on and go. I’m looking for something that will dry quick and has POCKETS I hate some of these companies make hoodies with no pockets. Lmk what yall like.

I buy whatever comes in a 2XL tall. I have an extra long torso so most regular people clothes don't fit me. Either too short in the body and it is a belly shirt or too short in the arms and they end mid forearm. For me, good hoodies start and end with Carhartt. I have them in midweight, heavyweight, and FR versions.

If you are looking for hooded performance gear that is a different world as there are so many choices on weight, style, and design that might make or break it for you.

I love a good hoody. The blackovis mesa it's merino wool super soft and warm. I also like their tech hoody but more of a warm weather/sun shirt. Born outdoors quiver hoody is a super comfortable grid fleece hoody.

Black Ovis Timber Hoodie is a really solid option. 100% polyester grid fleece to dry quick and good kangaroo pockets.

I don't know what kind of pockets you want exactly, or how much warmth you want, but the Stone Glacier Helio is really nice in a midlayer role. I don't particularly care for the pockets on it though, and am going back to the Sitka Heavyweight hoody.

Grid fleece is where it's at, you don't even have to get expensive hunting brands. I've been using a green under armour for years.

I tried a first lite merino hoody that was great when sitting around but once I sweated in it the smell was awful, like wet dog x10. I had to leave it in the bed of the truck on the way home 😂

Sitka Fanatic hoodie is hard to beat

Came here to say this. I hate Sitka and expensive BS brands, but it is hands down my favourite hoodie. Got it off a discount rack in OD for about 60 bucks about 10 years ago.

I was just thinking last night how I should get a second one but they're going for stupid money so I'll just tough it out. Taken it on all kinds of hunts from the Yukon to Wyoming and everything in between.

Yesss! Hoodies are where I live!! Ran under armor fleece forever. Wore them out. Hundreds of days in the field. Extreme conditions. Went. Burns. Dirt. Mud. Blood. Etc. hunting conditions. So I looked for a new one. This company makwa
A fleece one I have been rocking for several years now. Warm. Dries fast. Super durable. Comfortable. Warm. Light. It’s my go to for everyday on the tundra here in Alaska as a guide. I’ve used Sitka kuiu first light gear for a lot of different aspects and some of the gear is still best made by cabelas, smartwool, ibex, ect. No one makes it all great.

I don’t normally have a place for a heavy weight hoody when I’m hunting, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love a good hoody for winter time.

Swazi the Hood is excellent. Carhart duck dry is excellent. For merino the firslite furnace is good and I’ve had a Filson heavy weight merino hoody that’s lasted me a long time.
