Hey all,

Looking to organise a good carry solution for my Garmin Rino. At the moment I keep it in a belt pouch on my duplex frame. This option works pretty well but I'm starting to keep more and more 'stuff' in that pouch and was looking at other options.

What do you use? Does the Kifaru GPS pouch fir thr Rino? Please post pics if you have any.

Thanks,

Wilkes

I either keep mine in the waistbelt pocket or a water bottle pocket from Mount Laurel Designs.

Both work great...the water bottle pocket is nice cause it keeps the GPS very handy and easy to access, but sometimes its nice just tucking it away in the waistbelt pocket.

Here is the water bottle pocket from MLD mountain on my pack shoulder strap with a garmin 530 HCX in it:

And you can buy them here:

FHF Gear garmin rino pouch. Ive got that and use it with their ladder panel and it rides on my shoulder strap. works pretty slick.

I use a small radio pouch from tactical tailor on my duplex, no complaints. I can use it while its still in the pouch as a radio.

It looks like it wobbles around a bit? Does it sit flush on the harness?

I have 3 different packs, including my Kifaru Longhunter, that have a ring on the upper part of the shoulder strap that works well for clipping on my Rino. I've used mine this way for 3 years now without any problems. When it gets really wet, it goes in a coat or vest pocket.

It sits flush. It does wobble a little I guess but it enough to be a bother. If you were running maybe but I don't run with my pack on. I have never felt like the radio was in the way or wish it was more secured.

The original Kifaru GPS pouch is very small. There are tons of pouches made that will fit a GPS and attach to shoulder harness. Mountain laurel, MR.
