Best compact suppressor?

I'm looking at picking up a savage axis 2 pro (lh) in 6.5 creedmore. It comes with a 20" threaded barrel and id like to add a small lightweight titanium suppressor.

This will be my first suppressed rifle so I'm pretty new to it....

Id like to keep the total length of the barrel + suppressor under 25" even short would be great. I know I'll sacrifice some sound and recoil reduction by going shorter, but that's ok. This will primarily be used for hunting so the length matters a lot to me.

I suppose I could consider chopping the barrel even shorter. How short can you go on the 6.5?

I've have used an aero precision lahar 30k direct thread on my 24" 6.5cm and 20" 270. It's louder than my dead air nomad 30 but I can shoot it without ear pro.
The lahar 30k is 4.8" long

Hey this is rokslide it needs to be lightweight and expensive! Thanks for the recommendation but looking for something about 1/2 that weight.

TBAC and otter creek make 6.5 bore K (5") cans. Probably the best bet for keeping it that short.

Cut the barrel to 18" and there are a lot of great suppressors in that 6-7" range.

Scythe ti, nomad ti xc, diligent defense enticer STi.

Scythe ti with flat ti front cap is really the most compact package but not the quietest of the 3.
Nomad is the biggest and most expensive but sounds the best.
Enticer is a balance of everything with the best price tag.

Edit: I wouldn't personally ever buy a K can or something like the ultra 5 if you actually want sound suppression. Especially when there are options like the scythe that are configurable to be shorter than 6 inches that absolutely smoke a ultra 5 in performance. K cans have there place but it's not on a hunting rifle imo.

You could chop the barrel to 16 or 18 inches down the road. First, buy a quality suppressor like the Scythe-Ti. You'll love it. Another option is the Banish Backcountry, which is a tad smaller and louder, but I mention it because they have a "Buy One, Get One" (BOGO) deal going, so you can add a rimfire suppressor if you pony up $200 for another tax stamp. I think the Sycthe-Ti is a better suppressor, but you'll like having two cans more than one.

The "K cans" are just shorter versions of longer cans. The letter stems from the German word "Kurz" or short.

K, S, and L are sorta shorthand for length, usually K -5", S-7", and L-9". Volume is usually the most important thing for suppression, but bore size also matters, esp with K cans. So if you have a 6.5, going with a 6.5 bore should let you use a shorter can, while still getting OK suppression vs the same length in a .30 cal bore. Personally, I am fine with adding a bit of length, but if you are one of the ones that obsesses about it, a K can in a 6.5 bore will be better than a K can in a .30. It might even be close to the same as a .30 S.

Scythe or the Enticer S Ti. Id lean Enticer for half the price and maybe just a tad more weight. I own the scythe and a wolfhunter which is an Enticer S Ti with 6mm baffles. If I had to buy one again, it'd be the wolfhunter.

If you can find one, the Q Jumbo Shrimp is an awesome 6.5 bore titanium can. I’ve had great results with it on 260rem and 6arc. It’s even smaller that my Scythe with a flat front cap.

The others guys answered it well. A K is shorter than a S and a S is shorter than an L.

If you are willing to tolerate 7” in length the TBAC Magnus S is a great suppressor, lightweight and good sound suppression.

I have a Resilient Jolene S on my 300BO but have switched it to my 22" and 26" 6.5CMs. It is quiet and is light but is a bit longer than you want. I can deal with a little length but despise weight. It is in stock at Silencer Shop too. You will not be disappointed in this one.

The Hyperion K is supposed to be a nice suppressor that is over 6". One day I'll shoot mine I got last year and find out. That is an outlier though as most K cans are short.

TBAC Dominus CB has been great on my 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC. It is a shorter suppressor but has a 1.7” OD to increase the volume. Noticeably quieter than my Sandman K.
