I am looking for the best all year round California Oak woodland/ grassland camo for hunting.

I shot my deer last year in California using old Air Force BDU's. Slowing down and not moving much is your best camo.

Not moving
I get the impression you somehow think that I was not serious. The fact is that for decades men and women have been killing deer wearing Plaid, usually as in red and black. My point here is that your camo is not really going to matter to the deer, as their vision is a bit different than ours/humans. Deer rods and cones (those things in the eye that make up our vision) are specialized to pick-up on movement. You move, you turn your head, adjust your body, and they see you; despite any camo you have on.

Personally I wear a lot of Solids these days. Unless you are archery hunting use a little more camo, and even then if you are less than 400yds from a critter you should be concentrated on reducing your movements because that is really what animals key in on.

Anything really. Like Bubble said, they'll see movement far before picking out a still object that is even remotely blended in.

Yeah I agree I just want something that I could also hunt Turkeys with and you have to have good camo for Turkey, so I just want camo I can use for all purpose hunting

That's going to be tough since it's typically much more green during spring turkey season than deer season.
Don't over think it though just match the terrain the best you can and you'll be fine
