Evolution Hyde gets my vote. Killed my last two bulls with them and previous 3 with a dead meat. I’ll never shoot a fixed head again except from my recurve.
Todays mechanical heads are not the same crap made 15yrs ago, I’ve killed many mature bulls with mechanicals and many looked like new after killing.
I use to stress after hitting a bull when shooting fixed heads. Often they left poor blood trails and I’m color blind. Since switching I’ve had excellent blood trails and every bull I’ve killed had went 150 yards or less, most have died in sight and I watched them fall over. I’ve killed 7 mature six points bulls in the last 8 years with mechanical heads. Current arrows are 440gr, 27.5” draw and 70lbs, most have been pass though shots at ranges from 10 - 70+.
Dead meat seems like an obvious option27.5 in draw, 65 lbs. Hoyt Rx9.
410 grain arrow - G5 deadmeat is my whitetail setup.
But looking into heavier arrows for elk.
