I just bought a new pair of zamberlan boots. I own obenauf's conditioner and wondered if that was good for these boots. In the directions it says use zamberlan stuff but dont want to wait.
thanks

I use obenauf's on the all leather boots as well. And Kenetrek stuff on Kenetrek mtn boots. Honestly, when I run out of obenauf's, I will probably use Kenetrek boot conditioner on all of them. It seems like good stuff. I even use it on stiff nubuck-like leather. Anything to get and keep some moisture in it and avoid cracking.

Actually, last fall in the hills, I rubbed bowstring wax into some really dry looking parts of my boots and it worked really well until I got home and treated them properly.not saying it's great for the leather or recommending it, but it worked for me.

I use the Hydro Bloc that Zamberlan recommends. I like it much better than Obenaufs or anything else I have tried. I would recommend staying with that.

I have used Obenauf's as a wax on my longbow string.

I use Obenauf's oil on all my high end boots with great results (Crispi, Hanwag, Lowa). Never use a wax unless the gore-tex leaks. It'll kill the breathability.
