Good morning everyone,

What is the best bino harness for the swaro el 8.5x42? I am liking for something like the marsupial that opens same direction. I currently running the AGC Max and seems too short and squeaks pulling binos out. It would be nice if slimmer and still had some org pockets. I use for treestand/saddle and out west. Thanks.

I've been using the KUIU Pro Harness for the last few years. I had the FHF before and glad I made the change. The KUIU is fully enclosed.

I picked up a Mystery Ranch harness and added one of these pockets to the bottom.
It works well. The front harness pocket fits my 2800.COM range finder well and the extra bottom pocket holds ancillary items. It's a much more compact solution than the AGC max I used to have.

I had a marsupial. Built like a tank and super nice but too bulky for my liking in a saddle. Sold it and switched to a Rick Young minimalist harness. Really like it

Only bad thing about the RY is if you ride a horse any faster then a walk or you run any it bounces all over the place. I ran the RY this year and am retiring it, it just bounces too much unless you only walk, then it’s nice.

My AGC is bulky but doesn’t bounce when on the move fast.

I like the looks of the SG.

Makes sense. No horse for me so it works well

I’ve really enjoyed my outdoor vision ridgetop harness. Made in the USA, opens forward, fully enclosed, and has a built in rain fly

I’ve had both FHF and Mystery Ranch. I prefer the adjustability of the Mystery Ranch over FHF. It’s much easier to switch what binos I carry and not worry about the closing clasp not securing and dumping your binos on the ground. Which is extremely frustrating.

I have really liked my Kuiu Harness that I have run for years. Recently changed my bino and found myself needing a new option. Ended up getting the Marsupial fully enclosed. I like it a lot. Very quiet, well protected and stays put. The Kuiu is slimmer though. Marsupial definitely sticks out a bit further. But very well made and I really like the soft fleece on the interior to keep things quiet going in and out of the harness. Like the Molle straps and look forward to getting the holster for it at some point.

I had a similar harness as the RY harness. I have used it for years. Until one day climbing a hill and bam objectives did a face plant into the snow. It is why now want to use full enclosed harness, to protect the investment. I am leaning toward the OV and the Marsupial. Seems like the added pockets for rangfinder sits a little higher on the marsupial though. Which one sits higher on the chest? I wish my AGC sat higher. it will help keep out of the way from the saddle bridge..

I’m really enjoy the Marsupial as well. Stone Glacier Skyline is also a very good option. Don’t own one myself but used one on a trip. Really great harness.

Stone glacier is great. Opens forward which to me is much simpler than the opposite. Super light and simple. Rangefinder pocket and its attachment works well for me. Would be more dust proof if I actually closed it.

I'm stuck deciding between the Stone Glacier and Marsupial. Both look like good options.

Doesn't help most of the marsupial is sold out

I'd make sure you reach out to them. They can notify you of things as they become available which seemed to be pretty regularly when I was looking a few weeks back. I did miss out on the color I really wanted and got a different color. Of course, the color I wanted was available two days later. My impatience is frustrating to me sometimes. Ughh!

Anyway, they have product being produced all the time and can give you an idea typically of when and what.
