Looking for advice from those who have the Swaro EL 10 X 42 Range. What Bino harness are you using? I want something that protects the binos, but allows easy one-handed removal from the pouch.
Thanks

I used Kuiu last season on my EL 10x42's and its fine, nothing wrong with it. Now, I just got the Alaska Guide Creations bino harness and I think this will fit my needs much better as I can put my GPS in my front pouch and my FHF rangefinder holder fits nicely on the side. I think they both have their place.

I picked up a FHF gear in medium for this season, used maybe 18 days. I do like it, but I think a large would fit the Ranges a lot better. Unfortunately, Paul hasn't had a large available for quite some time. I bought the medium last minute.

I have a pair of Swaro ELs 10x42 ranging and they fit very nicely into the Regular size Alaska Guide Creations chest pack. I replaced the factory strap with a lightweight nylon web and unsnap one of the top snap and run the strap through to act as a dummy cord. Always handy and have room for a few other items I like at hand.

Sounds like you already made your purchase. FYI - a buddy highly recommended these straps so I bought a pair, although I haven't used them yet. The key with these is apparently the elastic won't get stretched out.

The Horn Hunter Bino Hub has nylon straps that run across the top of the shoulder (they won't stretch), and elastic straps that run around the waist under the armpits. They kinda give a little, but aren't really "bouncy".
Thanks again

Thanks. I like the way the AGC look and function, but did not see any type of tether strap to the binos. The horn hunter has straps that clip onto the binos, then clip onto the shoulder straps. I thought that was better to keep from dropping the binos if you "miss the pouch" in the excitement of the moment.

That's interesting because that is one of the reasons I like the AGC. It's easier to pass binos to a buddy or put them on my tripod when they aren't connected to the harness. I just put some lightweight cord on the binos around my neck and never fear dropping them.

That makes a lot of sense. Usually in my situation, though, I don't have a tripod, and the guide I hunt with has his own pair of Swaros if he leaves his Leicas at home.

I just unclip my AGC top strap and run my bino strap over it. If I need to pass them I just unsnap the top strap and pass them to my wife, but have a safety if a drop them.

Just a note to add that I saw that AGC now has a Bino Tether System for their Bino pouches, and it is only $10.00 plus $4.00 shipping. Might have to rethink my decision to go with the Horn Hunter Bino Hub. AGC sure looks nice.

I've got mine in the FHF gear harness and love it. Believe it's a medium and they fit perfectly snug.

Does you guys prefer one with or without the "basement" ? I'm about to order a large just can't decide which one of those two I want.
