JJ lares hybrid in acrylic is one of my favorite and has a better range of tone than a lot of the other calls I've owned. the zink are good too, lots of good calls out there its the operator not the call to a certain point, some calls suck. Not a fan of poly calls (cheap sound) or wood (great sound) for maintenance. Go single reed and learn how to blow the call, you lose tone range with a double.

Lares for sure, hybrid or T-1 both great calls. They also make reed kits so you can find a reed that fits you, Start with the best and grow with it.

$20 Duck Commander single reed. Super easy and doesn’t sound horrible. Remember, sound travels up so softer with good tone is better than louder and rough.
