Eurooptics had Vortex DiamondBack HPs 3-12x42 on clearance for $169. They have Viper glass and are great scopes. Usually cost twice that much.

I grabbed a dialable bushnell engage 2-10 and that thing has been great for me, just always remember to reset your turret, cost me a dog at 80 yards… the damn scope was set for 450

Depends on ‘budget’ obviously, but I really like the Athalon helos 2-12 or the Bushnell lrhs 3-12 if you can find them used. 450&750 respectively. If that’s too high, I’ve been impressed with a few Arkens and wouldn’t hesitate to go that direction either.

Eurooptic also has a clearance on Trijicon scopes for less than half MSRP.

They’re good Japanese scopes with wonderful glass and solid, repeatable click adjustments.

I really like the vortex venom, if you are looking for an affordable high power scope. If you are looking cheaper than that, I really like the bushnell ar scopes

You're not taking 1000 yard shots when predator calling and you may need swift follow-up shots. Most of the time your shots are 25-200 yards, the Nikon Coyote Special with round reticle is ideal for running shots.

My opinion based on personal experience.
