Best affordable binos

A price range may help, affordable to one person is different then another.

I like the older Zeiss binos and they can sometimes be found for a deal, I look for ones marked *T *P which will have the newer coatings.

If you want new, call Doug at CameralandNY and give him your budget. I am new here but I believe he is a sponsor and has helped me in the past.

Under $500.00 would be Athlon, Hawke, Meopta, Steiner, there's a bunch of excellent options. I am out of the store today and back tomorrow. Please give us a call, 516-217-1000, so we can discuss different options and what would be best for you.

There was a set of Cabelas instinct HD 8x32 for $450 in the classifieds. These are same as Meostars Meostar HD. Won’t beat that for price and performance.

CameralandNY has some demo Trinovid HD for $650.

Under 500, I would buy a used pair of Brunton Epoch off eBay. I handed them to a buddy that has the vortex range binos, and he said holy sheet those are clear. Dad won them at a banquet and I quickly traded him for them. 8.5x43 right now for 390, several 10x43 for $500.

I have yet to be begin to procrastinate.

Check out meopta Optika. They're new as of a month ago and go for $300-$350. At that price there can't be a better bino.

I have done a lot of glassing and hunting with a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks. I know they end up being the joke of bino threads but they were my first good binos (previously had $15 foldable crap in the check out aisle).

I used the hell out of them for years and they did just fine. I ended up getting a huge upgrade this year, but they are still decent binos for the price. I’d look at them on sale. The Maven C gets lots of love but I can’t speak to them personally.

For Christmas last year, I bought my son and daughter, Vanguard Endeavor ED ll binoculars. I think they are a terrific glass for the $ and they carry a lifetime warranty. Check out the review on allbinos.com

I would agree with zeisstwice, the Endeavor ED binos are shockingly good/clear glass for the money. My wife and daughter both own a pair and although I use Swaro EL binos, I'm shocked everytime I look through one of theirs.

Pretty sure you can get in to the Viper line of binos at that price point, which is what I would do. I was impressed with my buddies 10x50 vipers (I use 10x42 razors).

Cabelas also had the Diamondback 10x50 HD binos on sale for $190 I believe, which they are a great value for their price.

People can laugh all they want, my buddy has a pair of 10x42s and puts more animals down than anyone I have ever known. My 10x50s work great and Vortex basically made them completely new a couple months ago because a eye relief adjuster stripped out. Had them for about 6 years.
