Bergara premier mglite loads

I bought the mglite rifle in a 300 win mag and I am having problems getting a load found for it. I’ve tried countless loads with 166 hammers and both 168 and 185 Berger vlds and can’t seem to get under an 1 1/2 inch group with it. I have also tried 165 Sierra game kings and no avail. Was hoping for this rifle to be a goat setup but it’s not looking good. I’ve kinda limited myself to Hogdon and ramshot powders because of temp stability. Any one else have issues with bergara or their cabin barrel’s?

What powders have you used

H4350, h4831,h1000, ramshot mag and possibly some big game. I’ve tried cci,Remington 9 1/2, and Winchester primers

With the MG Lite being a 1:10 twist barrel you might want to jump up to the heavier bullets. Personally I would try the 210 Berger or the 212 ELD X. You could try some 220 ELDX or 225 ELDM if that is all you can find. Right now you are over twisting the bullets which could be causing some accuracy issues.

I found better success with 195-210 bullets in my WM

Finally found a group with the 190 vlds. It didn’t like the 210 or 220 bullets to much.

You drop 3grand on a rifle it should shoot sub Moa. A 600 Tikka will do it.

What sold me was the folding stock. I wanted the pack ability. I’ve heard rumors if you get one that shoots it will stack them in but I’ve heard of more that don’t.

The 6.5 creed that they sent us stacks them right in there with my custom rifles. Always sucks when a rifle acts up! Have you tried any factory Hornady ammo?

I tried Berger factory 215 hybrid and federal 215 get. Hybrid.Also hornady 220 eldx hand loads. Federal 215’s shot great first group then the groups opened up.

Got my rifle back from Bergara and my accuracy is has been resolved.

What bullets/powders have you all found your rifle likes? I shot factory Nosler 180 gr e-tips my 110 High Country in .300WM liked and my groups were about 2". I bought 2 different Federal heavy rounds and 2 different Nosler heavy rounds to try out as well, but haven't shot them yet. To say I'm disappointed w/ the performance on the e-tips is a significant understatement. If the other factory rounds don't go well w/ 3 shots each, it's going back to Bergara. As others have said, a $3k gun should be .5 MOA or better out of the box w/ good factory ammo.

Mine ended up shooting H1000 and a 190 vld. It wouldn’t shoot the 185 or the 210 vlds. I also got a good group with ramshot magnum and the 190 vld.

I just got this rifle and am starting to do some looking into the best round. Have you found a good bullet that shoots well?
