I’m selling a Bergara Premier Highlander in 7mm Remington Magnum with 70 rounds down the tube. It is in like new condition with the exception of a small spot on the brake where I marred the cerakote the first time I removed it.
I sent this rifle back to Bergara because I experienced inconsistent accuracy the first time I took it to the range to break it in. I’m pretty sure my scope was actually causing the problem. I took it out a second time with a different scope, and it shot sub MOA with multiple factory loads and very accurate with a handload that was developed for a different rifle. Out of eight different types of factory ammunition tested, 150 grain Federal Fusion was the only thing it didn’t like. I went ahead and sent it in because I was also unhappy with the way the barreled action sat off centered in the Grayboe stock. I explained the whole situation to Bergara and they provided excellent customer service. They torqued the action screws, checked the headspace, lapped the bolt lugs, and recrowned the barrel. The rifle was returned with an MOA test target with Hornady 162 ELD-X and the barrel was centered in the channel. I took it back out to the range and confirmed the accuracy with two more MOA groups from two different shooters.
This rifle weighs 7.7 lbs and has a 24” barrel. It will come in its original box with a thread protector, a 20 MOA Talley rail with anti-cant level, and a set of Talley LW 30mm low single piece rings. If you are a handloader and like the 150 NBT load, I have some bullets that can be worked into the deal. The price is $1175 plus shipping.
