I bought the rifle 2nd hand this year for an elk hunt my boys drew, but they ended up using different rifles.
Ive put about 40 rounds through it. It shot factory Hornady ELDX 200gr well.
Previous owner told me the rifle had had fewer than 200 rounds through it. The barrel was broken in by fire once, and clean for five shots, fire three times and clean for 15 shots, fire five times and clean for 20 shots. He also said it really likes the 210 grain Bergers and Hornady 212 eldx. Groups were typically 3/4 inch or less at 100 yards with those two and right around an inch for others. The only thing it didn't care for was some Federal 150 grain soft point ammo. It was more like 1 1/2 inches. He only sold it to me to switch to the 6.5 PRC as his main rifle setup. I'm only selling because I have other lighter weight 300 win mags that my kids prefer shooting.
I bought the scope new a couple years ago. It went on one hunt two seasons back. It's a fantastic scope, I'm just switching my hunting scopes to FFP. If you have this same scope in the FFP 3-24 version, I'd be interested in a trade
