Anyone have experience with both rifles? Can get a Crest for about $300 cheaper locally if that matters. Really enjoy the feel of both and the reviews towards the seekins make it sound to good to be true.

Begara. It's lighter, has a CF stock vs fiberglass, uses AICS mags instead of proprietary Tikka mags and Tikka has a reputation for accurate but notoriously slow 6.5 CM barrels.

I have owned a Seekins Havak and wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to buy another one.

Did I miss the tikka question or have you been on the forum so long that all you see is tikka these days ;).

I handled the crest last week and was very impressed. Liked the shorter barrel. I’d go that way especially with cheaper $$.

I wouldn't take a new Begara for free based on their recent quality control.

Just say no to Bergarbage. Most of the time they’re shooters, but if not their CS will blame you and leave you to pay a gunsmith to fix their $hit quality control. Funny enough I bought my first tikka to prove to Bergara that I was not the problem. It shot sub MOA with the first decent cartridge I fed it, at about 3 lbs lighter and no muzzle brake.

I’ll never buy another Bergara.

Same. I have a havak in 300 WM and a Bergara Pro in 6.5 PRC. If I had to pick between the two, Seekins by a long shot.

I haven’t had the bad luck with bergara either. Gun shoots great but my Havak is money.

I'll pick Seekins solely on my buddies experience. He's got 3 seekins rifles... they've taken care of him every time

I haven't heard anything bad about Bergara's QC as of late. They had some issues they fixed with their first run of rifles but fixed that a long time ago.

Well, of all the people that did have problems, (mostly a bad batch of bolt shrouds, all replaced by Bergara.), you are one of the very few that Bergara just refused to help. Sorry you had a problem with them but the majority of people have been very satisfied with Bergara. Their barrels have always been great barrels.
