I know this forum is pretty biased towards tikka and rightfully so. Tikka makes some awesome rifles. I myself have become a really big fan of Bergara here lately. I wanted a rifle with a shorter barrel that would be good for hunting in the mountains for any game. The wilderness Sierra kind of checked all of the boxes for me. I watched some reviews on the rifle on YT and was quite suprised that everyone shooting them didn't really have the best accuracy. 1" MOA was the best I seen. I still decided to purchase the rifle and went with 300 win mag mainly because of ammunition availability and a tried and true caliber. Well I was more than impressed when I broke in the barrel then sighted in the rifle. It shoots great! This is one of the best shooting rifles I have ever owned. The ammo used to shoot the group pictured is Federal Premium Berger Hybrid Hunter 185gr. 3shot group@ 100yds. Front bipod, rear bag. I have a B14 HMR in 6.5prc that will also shoot groups like this. Overall im just really impressed with the product Bergara is putting out and for a reasonable price.

I just ordered a Sierra in 308 to retire my dad's old ruger. If it shoots that good I'm going to be very pleased. I picked up the bmr chambered in 17hmr this summer and have been pretty pleased with it. I'm probably going to pick up a 300wm this year too, trying to make up my my mind for a Crest vs a seekins element.

My buddy bought one in 300wm. There is something wrong with the chamber as it keeps getting stuck cases. I guess it could be his extractor as well. Shoots really well though. Due to that he broke his bolt handle off and had to weld it back together.

Your buddy bought a Sierra or a Crest?

I've had several 300's I loaded for. Seems they all shot their best if I was pushing them too hot. Got quite a few sticky bolts. I don't do that now. Also, I had a 338 Norma that had crazy pressure signs. Back then, all they had for that cartridge was Norma Brass which is very soft. I had other smiths look the gun over and could find no fault with the chamber so suspect it was a bad batch of brass.
