Bergara B14 SP

Searched and didn't find any threads about the SP (18" barrel) specifically. Looking for something to put a suppressor on and haul up in my climbing stand for deer and hogs, and like this 18 inch barrel. Caliber choices are 308 or 6.5 CM.

Has anyone owned one of these SPs and hunted with it suppressed? Feedback?

For anyone who has had one of the regular length B14s I'd love to hear any feedback you have as well. Im guessing the fit and finish probably leaves a little to be desired at the price point, but I am more focused on accuracy and functionality

Long time handgun shooter, very little experience with centerfire rifles. Recently bought the B14 SP in 6.5CM. Just back from a half day one-on-one with a long-range instructor (are we supposed to mention names?). Had never shot the rifle beyond 100 yards (local range limit). Shot steel out to 1040 yards, had my share of misses, but also had plenty of hits, including on the distant steel. Bergara did just fine. Have suppressor, but it's in "jail" for a few months yet. Think you'll like it!

Just picked my B14 SP .308 up today from my FFL and got scope mounted / bore sighted, and loaded a few rounds with various charges and pills. Hoping to take to range tomorrow. The action is slicker than cat shit, and the trigger is really nice, both the curve as well as the # they had it set at...Im guessing 2.5#.... Fit and finish is much better than I expected.
