Benchmade Steep Country vs Saddle Mountain Skinner

Hoping to get some opinions on both options. I've used replaceable blade knives but looking to switch back over. I know both sheaths are not good. Thanks in advance.

Curious to people's experiences on this too. Have my eye on a Steep Country as an all-around processing knife for big game as well as geese. My Gerber Vital is not cutting it anymore and my Meatcrafter is kinda overkill for waterfowl

The Saddle Mountain is great all around and gives you more edge to work with

I’ve used the steep country for several backpack hunts and I really like it. My brother got me a Saddle Mtn Skinner last month for being in his wedding. It feels like way more knife. I’m looking forward to getting it on a caribou this month.
I personally prefer the fact that I can be shoulder deep in a moose and know that the end of my index finger is near the top of the blade of the steep country, but the saddle mtn has more blade to work with. Both are nice knives. If you’re going to be carrying it and you’re counting ounces, I like the steep country.
Both knives got new kydex sheaths from Armatus Carry when I got the knives.
Neither one will disappoint, it just depends on what you prefer.

Seriously give a look at the Argali Carbon!

Finally got to use it, on a coyote. It's like best of both worlds! It's a like fixed blade knife that has the sharpness of pretty much a Havalon, but with the stiffness of a fixed blade, that's still ridiculously light, and very good grips on it for when things get messy, and large holes in the scales designed for ease of cleaning.

I only bothered to touch up the blade a little bit when I was finishing caping out the yote and was about to turn the eyes, so wanted to be cautious and figured it wise to freshen the edge just before doing that operation.
