Hey, all -- anyone use the Benchmade Meatcrafter on big game in the field? I love the way the handle feels, and it's airy light in terms of weight, but the blade is startlingly flexible. I understand it's a hybrid knife, but just wondering what people think who have used it on whitetails and up. Thx!

I’m sure it’s a nice knife, but the 6” Victorinox Fibrox Pro Boning knife does the same thing for substantially cheaper. Might be worth picking one up to test drive that style of knife, works great for deboning/butchering. Haven’t used it for skinning

Its not a field knife if that is what you are asking. Its a camp and kitchen knife.

"The new 15500-3 Meatcrafter® is ideal for preparing food fireside, and whether your trimming, deboning, or slicing your favorite cuts of wild game, you'll be butchering like a pro in no time."
