Belt pouches for Sitka Mountain Hauler 4000

I was able to score a Sitka Mountain Hauler 4000 from a local guy for a great price … was like new condition, and I’m wanting to use it for my first archery elk hunt this fall. As a newbie to backpack hunting I’m not sure if the internal meat hauling of the Sitka is what I want vs the shelf options on something like the Exo or Mystery Ranch, but it seems well made and it’s comfortable with a load in it. Considering I got such a good deal on it, I’m gonna roll with it…

But does anyone know which belt pouches from another manufacturer might work/fit on it?

It looks like Sitka discontinued the belt pouches for the Mountain Hauler series ( and I can’t find them anywhere online either)

Nice work getting that pack on discount. The load carry is definitely weird, but I keep hearing good things from people that have one regardless.

The hip belt is just a velcro belt strap right? So a pouch that works on MOLLE would still work, I think. Or is the belt a lot wider than MOLLE straps?

I have some small molle pouches but the attachment area on the belt is not that long, so you would need some really short molle pouches. I ended up getting an EXO 4800 on their blem sale because I honestly was not super in love with potentially hauling meat inside the pack…

If anyone stumbles upon this thread, I was able to use KUIU pockets in my mountain hauler, I have a picture or two to show how they stayed attached. Jealous of the switch to EXO, but the mountain hauler is a fine pack, hauled out a mule deer last year no problems! Meat in the bag was not that big of an issue for me, just threw my gear in a dry bag.
