I am looking to get a pouch/pack/bag that can be worn on my belt and hold a thermal scanner. When out at night, I'm using a Hill People Gear Original Kit Bag (chest pack) to carry my Ruger Super Redhawk when I'm out scouting around.
The thermal scanner has it's own carrying case but the molle strap is in the back so it makes flipping open the top very difficult as it flips into your body (Picture enclosed). I'd like to get what would essentially be a fanny back that can be worn in the front or another kit-type bag/pouch that can attach to my belt. It's got to be long enough to easily insert and remove the scanner which is 8" long. So I'm thinking about a 10" width to the inside part of the bag.
Does any belt pack/pouch/bag come to mind? Maybe another way to jerry-rig the carrying case it comes with?
