I have a Bell and Carlson 2958-97 Remington 700 BDL Short action Varmint (this fits the SPS heavy barrel varmint, which is what I had it on, check Bell and Carlson website for others). I'm going to sell the rifle with the original stock, so I don't need the stock. Stock has been bedded, the bedding job is quite neat, so it should be easy to remove to rebed.
The stock has seen field use, but is in good shape overall. I've tried to highlight some of the more obvious flaws in photos. $125 shipped.
Barrel channel sanded lightly to remove high spots for clearance.
Bedding, a tiny bit escaped under the masking at rear.
Scuff (white spot) on side to behind front action screw.
Imperfection where dope chart was removed. I think this is just the clear coat.
Example of one of several small scratches.
Original receipt.
