Before the shot?

I agree.... Shot sequence is key....it's like you go into cruise control and don't even think too much....next thing you know the shot is gone....if you are cocentrating on your shot sequence... For me it's grip control, anchor, peep and housing alignment, plumb bow, find pin, engage trigger...and from there is all aim...aim...aim...aim.......however while I'm putting my finger is over the trigger with steady tension.....the only thing I'm thinking about is aiming but pulling subconciously! The pulling subconsciously comes with practice...bow goes off with a surprise....like a good trigger pull on a rifle. My shooting has improved tremendously at crunch time with back tension Shooting

I practice almost everyday of the year, and before every shot I go through the same routine. But when I'm out In the field all I tell myself is to breath. My body should be so used to shooting that everything I do becomes force of habit. It's exactly what we used to do for baseball at Hawaii. Every swing In the cage you are meticulous in your routine and swing, once game time comes trust the work you've put in clear your head and breath. I take shooting my bow the same way.
