Would anyone with experience bedding an XLR magnesium chassis share their prep routine? I just attempted to bed my tikka in one this past weekend with marine-tex and it didn't stick to the chassis AT ALL. I did a 120grit sanding step, cleaned 2x with alcohol one evening. The next morning I cleaned the inlet again with alcohol and proceeded with bedding. After a couple of hours I removed the action to clean up the inside a bit and some sections of bedding I could remove by hand. Wondering if I got a bad batch? I've never used marine-tex before, but I see its generally well recommended.

Use a dremel and carbide burr to make locking cavities for the epoxy to flow too

Make sure you mix 5:1

Let cure for 24 hrs before removing the action.
