Does anyone have a good recommendation for a person/outfitter to setup a drop camp in high elevation of Beaver, Utah unit? For mule deer. Thanks in advance. 🤘🦌

That unit has lots of roads, atv trails and lots of tags. Are you sure there's a spot to get packed into where you can find some solitude?

Hi realunlucky. thanks for your reply. Yeah- I do have a spot I’ve been before that is off the roads a bit & has some relative isolation. Not super far in but even just to set up a drop camp a couple miles in would be great.

I am not sure either, but have you considered renting llamas? I bet you could make it happen on your own. seen guys in Idaho do it successfully, Just an idea. I've also been in that unit, its very -very accessible, but I agree it would be nice not to hike all the way back to the truck after a kick ass hike. Best of luck.

If it's only a couple of miles in just do two trips in for a nice drop camp experience and find a packer for the trip out with a big buck.

I can refer you to outfit/packers if that interests you. The unit is full of roads/atv, surely you can get away with it in a trip or two.

Unless you are packing some super heavy creature comfort stuff back in that unit, I don’t see where paying someone to do that would make much sense? I could easily back pack into the highest, most solitary country of that unit in half a day max. I could maybe see paying someone to haul your deer out I guess? I’m from Beaver and I’ve hunted that unit extensively on foot and on horseback over the years as far away from people as is possible.

Hi guys- thank you all for your replies. So my group consists of 4 guys, 2 of which middle-aged & 2 are older. The older guys can still hike alright but full backpack in is probably out of their ability @ this point. I appreciate all the suggestions.
