As much as I don't like California for obvious reasons, I absolutely love the public lands and gorgeous country it holds. It's just a shame that we can't get our wildlife management to match the habitat it possesses. Either way here is some of the beautiful and special places I have visited.

Here’s some Colorado. West fork fire. Still managed some
Cutts. I took this picture on the way out. We had camped down in those firs. Search and rescue was at
The trailhead when we got back up there after “hotfooting” it out. They were glad
To see us. They didn’t want to come get us much. Tore it down that night in south fork until we got evacuated the next morning.

Sitting in this spot where my dad is, I've spotted sheep, wolves, coyotes, wolverines, bears, moose (shot a couple), and 10's of thousands of sandhill cranes migrating just overhead. Pretty cool spot.

First came to our family huntin' camp in 1992 when I was just a couple months old, burned to the ground in 2015, shot my best buck ever in 2016. Took me 14 years to finally kill a buck here. Ugly, barren, sparsely populated country but it holds a special place above all others for me.
