Beast’s new COC Broadheads

These look good. I wonder how they'd do in a low KE setup? My daughter will be bowhunting (whitetails) for the first time this year with about 40 ft-lbs. I was planning to give her Viper Tricks.

Low KE at that draw weight might compromise achieving good penetration. Go with the Viper Tricks or another SHARP fixed blade BH.

I agree with mavinwa2 on going fixed. I'd even go two-blade. I've got my wife set up with Magnus Killer bee's(7/8" cut). I've killed a bull elk and mule deer with them. You don't need 2" of cut to kill an animal, but you do need the arrow to penetrate the vitals. I'll probably set the wife up with my IW's this year for her elk tag.

I learned about Day 6 Evos just a few days ago. They look great. Pricey, but lower cost than IWs. I have so many Viper Tricks laying around they will likely be the one I give my daughter. I've always called them "the poor man's Iron Will". I killed my last bull elk with one. She'll be shooting a PSE Mach 30 with SE2 cams right around 42 lbs and 25".

For fun, I may shoot the same bow this year around 50 lbs and 28.5". I'd be interested to see if I could get one of these Beast COC through a deer. I bet I could.
