Hello everybody,
I apologize for not introducing myself before now. I've been reading the forum for over a year now in hopes of one day getting to hunt out west. I'm a senior in college graduating in December with hopes of going to med school in a year or two after I get to enjoy some time being a flight instructor.

I just bought a new Motive 6 online from a guy that only put a sight on it and had to sell it. It's never been fired. When I unwrapped it, both cables were in the innermost channel on the roller guard. One cable has serving on it and the other does not. The one with serving stays in the channel just fine. It appears to me that the other cable should be served as well to keep it in its channel. Has anyone heard of or have any experience with this problem? They guy I bought it from didn't notice it but is going to call Bear tomorrow since he filled out the warranty card (this was part of the agreement when I bought the bow). Thanks in advance for any tips or info!

Forgot to mention that my local shop is not a Bear dealer and didn't have any in-shop to compare to

That's definitely not right. One cable should be inbetween one set of rollers and the other cable between the other set. And the one cable should be served where it travels through the roller. It's hard to say if the serving allowed it move to the other rollers (can you move it back by hand) or if the rollers were just installed improperly.

This is my 2014 agenda 7 no rollers but both are inside the guard. Yours definitely looks off. Niether have serving. Also when your getting you bow checked out have the cams checked for the updated cams the non updated ones eat up strings. One last thing is the limb spacers. For a while bear made them with a hard poly plastic that have been known to fail. They upgraded them to aluminum.

If you take a photo of both sides of your cam I can tell you if your gonna have an issue.

Great bows but unfortunately they first came out with some issues. All fixed in 2014 though.

Thanks for the help! Bear sent new cables that were both served. I'm not sure how it left the factory without being served? I'll post pictures of the cam when I get home today. Thanks!

Yep your cams are straight. How about the Spacer in the limb pockets? Had a chance to get those checked? From what I have found it only happened on the 70# Motives. But Id still replace them if they are the plastic kind. Wouldnt want to take the chance.

Shoot I forgot to check the limb pockets. Will do that tonight.
I'm probably going to have to take it to a shop for some help tuning. I can get a perfect bullet hole with a fletched arrow but a horrible tear with bare shaft (3" nock high and 3/4" nock right) through paper at 6-7 yards. I maxed out the adjustments on my whisker biscuit but that did no good. Would you just walk back tune it with the fletched arrows then check the broad heads and call it good? I know my form isn't perfect but I feel like there's no way I'm that inconsistent. This is my first time attempting to set up a bow by myself- turns out the learning curve is steeper than I thought!

I really appreciate the help!!

I would do exactly as you suggest. Walk back tune then try broadheads.
If they group together well then your good!
