It’s crazy how many bears there are in Florida.

One person, dog dead in Collier County bear mauling; officials haul dead bear out of woods

After Robert Markel's daughter called to report a bear had just killed her father's dog, officials found Markel's body yards away.

We had public comments in March with FWC + online public comments thru April. Proposals coming May 21st so i'm hoping the planned hunt is approved and goes better than the last optically so it can remain an annual thing.

Heres to hoping. Its difficult to put any bait out what so ever for the black bears in my area in central FL. Had one walk up on me in a ground blind a few years ago at dusk, scared the crap ooutta me

NJ has to be worse. They keep shutting down the bear hunts there too.

First vote passed 4-1 now we wait for August to see if it’s finalized and confirmed.

The bears here in florida have gotten way too abundant and are becoming ever increasing unafraid of humans.Plus they are starting to put on significant weight due to two moving into human populated areas in expanding their food source
