Bear defense rifle for AK trip

Lots of replies here. The issue with a long gun is it gets heavy and in your way. I always had a 45-70 or 12 guage around but couldn't keep it on me. Most attacks happen whip fast and you need to have that protection on you. Either spray or a pistol. I think most people are better off with the spray. Much larger margin of error. I carried a glock 29 while around them.

Question for the AR guys in 450 Bushmaster.
Have you ever had any reliability issues with the heavier loads used for bear defense? Thanks.

Mines not a 450, it’s a 458 SOCOM and never had any issues with it. Of course, my son built the upper and I did the lower, so we know what it is.
