That blow up Hunting Buddy (I can't seem to find out how to order one) gave me an idea. How about a blow up decoy tent, with a Hunting Buddy inside? Should both pack up nice and small.

Undomesticated, seriously we want to hear the bow story!!

I guess it’s confession time. This seems to be the time and place to come clean . I have a blowup hunting buddy, but I’ve never told anyone about her…er… I mean “it.”

You’re a calmer man than me. I would have already buried the knife.

Twice.
I was also thinking” What if I’m wrong?, And I brandished or buried my knife in this dude for no reason other than he’s weird.. bingo, jail time. Bingo permanent record.. I just wanted to get to the KOA.

Some years back I was camped in an attended forest service campground. I arrived after the office had closed but the gate was open - so I went in and talked to a host who said they had someone leaving early and just pay in the AM and set up my campsite. It was summertime so I camped with the door flap zippered back.

I was awakened to a different "camp host" that had driven his golf cart into my site, right up on my tent, and was screaming through the open flap about me being a trespasser for not paying camp fees. Took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on, but he continued to berate me and told me I was going to be arrested as he already called the sheriff. He didn't get the response from me he expected and threatened to come in my tent and physically remove me from the campground. There were some words exchanged and as he came closer I was reaching for my G27 he suddenly thought better of it and tore off down the road.

Nothing came of it - got a couple nights camp for free from the area manager, who apologized and asked me not to create an official complaint with the USFS. Never saw the jerk again. Out of hundreds of nights of camping, that was the only major issue I recall, except for a minor one with another host at the same place years later.

Oh the old “camp counselors” that is the one person I dread in established campsites.

The campsite we were at a couple weeks ago got upset about guys hanging deer and skinning them in camp. He made homemade signs and put them all over the campsite saying it is not allowed. Someone called the county official that was in charge of the campground and confirmed he was full of sh** and came down and made the guy take his signs down.

I know that has nothing to do with OP but I can’t stand camp hosts “counselors”

I only have computer access once a week but I suppose I can type it out next week. It is actually one of two instances that altered how I behave in the woods. The other instance was probably worse, it resulted in a double homicide of some campers a couple miles from me and my wife (and an additional homicide, arson, and a nationwide manhunt for the suspects).

Is there even a single recorded death of a cat killing someone in their tent? Bears yes but cats?
I worked with a guy who was drug out of his tent by a lion. He had the scars and newspaper stories to prove it. So it has happened at least once!

Just another reason to be armed and ready to kill anyone or anything that seems like a threat. This clown looks like trouble,I would have had my pistol ready to go in an instant.

Jeezus..

"That same night, Abbey was also in the area looking for a place to camp and noticed Kjersem had already taken the campsite, the sheriff said.

Abbey told investigators Kjersem "welcomed him to the campsite" and offered him a beer, the sheriff said.

Then at some point Abbey hit Kjersem with a piece of wood, stabbed him in the neck with a screwdriver and then hit him with an ax, the sheriff said."
