Bear Age

Just got my spring bear age back at 16 years old. Buddy of mine shot a 12 year old same day. Just curious what the oldest bear you guys have shot is? Pictures make it better.

Great bear!!
We are waiting on the ages back from last year's bears. The biologist estimated the big black boar to be about 8-10. She estimated the chocolate sow to be in the twenties. We are anxiously waiting to hear back about that one! Wish I got pics of the teeth..

Both gorgeous bears. If that comes back in the twenties that would be crazy! If you remember, post it when you get the ages back im very curious.

I also have shot a 26 yr old brown bear sow… but that was a DLP inside a municipal facility…there’s a big story to that one. Here she is:

Glad to hear it! I’ve been pretty fortunate to be on a healthy number of bears in my 11 years as an AK resident. And I don’t plan on slowing down!
