Headed to northwest BC for goats at the end of August.

Have a few gear questions for those that have done these hunts before.

Sleep system:
Option 1: Kelty Cosmic 0F bag and XTherm pad. Con- doesnt compress as small and takes up a ton of room in my pack.

Option 2: 35F synthetic bag, Xtherm pad, and sitka Kelvin jacket and pants. Weighs a bit more than option 1, but packs and compresses easier.

Thoughts?

Layer system:
Socks 4x (wear one 3 in pack)
Merino gloves and down gloves
work gloves for rocks and brush
Beanie
Kuiu zip tee (210) x2 (wear one the other in pack)
Guide vest
Kenai jacket (active synthetic down)
Chugach jacket

Merino boxers (2x - wear one the other in pack; 1x merino long underwear)
Timberline pants
Kelvin down pants
Dewpoint rain pants

Not sure what to expect weather wise but wanted to get yalls thoughts.

Food wise I bring granola bars, peak fuel food and tea , I bring instant iced tea for my water. It’s nice having something different.. I also make bags of trail mix.

I believe that’s it, let me know if you have any questions and can’t wait to hear about your hunt!
