I want to hear your guys opinions on what the best bang for you buck is right now.

Zermatt Origin-$900
For a couple hundred more you can get into a Zermatt TL3

the origin is the only action w/o a permanent recoil lug

I would also lean towards the ones with shorter bolt throws. The 90 degree throws with larger bolt knobs can be interfered with by larger ocular scopes.

Yes, I like the 60 degree bolt throws

At the price point you have those other actions you might want to add the Defiance Rebel which can be ordered with an integral recoil lug. It can be optioned out multiple different ways and is reasonably lightweight for a all stainless action. And is great for a pure hunting build IMHO.

The pricing I quoted was off the manufacturer's website. Websites like altus or bugholes may have it cheaper.

I have 3 defiance anti, only negative would be 90° bolt otherwise great & usually in stock. I think I would try a bat if I was to do another today.

The terminus, and ARC nucleus.

My next will be a ARC nucleus with a 223 and 308 bolt head, with a couple barrels and an action wrench.

Terminus actions are really nice, and they do have the 60° bolt. I have a defiance ruckus ga hunter going on my current build and from what I understand Defiance will work with you if you have interference with your scope. With all that said my next action is going to be the Bat Hr simply because the smith will only use those actions for his 300NMI builds.

I really like my Origin. I have another one in the queue. Remington 700 footprint and trigger, Interchangeable bolt head, interchangeable bolt handle, tool-less bolt disassembly, controlled ejection. They are built with enough consistency in precision that one can order a shouldered pre-fit barrel.
