I might be a minority here but I use the Sanyo eneloop rechargeables and carry a goal zero solar charger. The reason being is our group is always splitting up and bivying out in smaller groups. We keep our garmin rino's on all day. Those things eat the battery's when on all the time. With the goal zero all I carry is AA battery's. I can charge my Zebra LIght head lamp, my Digital Camera and my Garmin Rino. The goal zero does a great job. Lithiums are great but I pretty much hunt the entire elk season so even the lithiums won't last me.

Energizer lithium. Have not had any issues in the cold here with them. Can get them at Sam's Club for pretty good price.

I have mates that use eneloops in the Trail Cams when put out in the snow, say they are pretty good in that situation.
