Sorry feel it an idiot because i totally read it wrong. Why aren't you going with a rail?

All good I just feel like the rail is restrictive but I still may go with the the rail unless I can find some good quality 2 piece so it opens up the top of the bolt opening for more room is all for my fat ass fingers haha

I would do accu-tac bipod. Solid, a bit heavier, but the legs are rock solid. I have an accu-tac on my precision rifle and wouldn't replace it with anything. As for rings there are hundreds. Seekins precision makes some nice ones, I use Night Force on a couple of mine but also have some Burris and Leopold. If you check on the precisionrifleseries.com or precisionrifleblog.com they have a section called "what the pros use" and they often detail gear from the best precision shooters out there.

Great input I will certainly look at that

For bipods the most popular, in no particular order...
Atlas
Spartan
Harris

The other one that I couldn't think of was the Evolution Bipod, by Modular Evolution. I just did a bunch of research on lots of bipods, and came across the Evolution Bipod via this forum. They are very interchangeable.

Running a rail on my Ridgeline with a set of Talley rings. Great customer service from those guys.
