Anybody familiar with the app? I’m thinking about picking it up while it’s $30/yr. Curious how it compares to OnX and Gaia. Also curious about the western hunter add-on.

don't know how it compares but I have had it for a few months and think it kind of sucks.

works fine at home , not for shit on the mountain.

I wouldn't recommend it to any one ,for anything at any price.

There's already several other threads about basemap on here. The BASEMAP vs ONX might answer your questions.

I used Basemaps, Gaia and Onx all this year on a samsung phone. My opinion is basemaps was terrible compared to the other 2. It would stop tracking regularly and when it did track it wasnt accurate enough. Onx worked good 95% of the time but would stop tracking once every couple of days which would require an app restart. Gaia has worked flawlessly for me for 3 years running now.

I used BaseMap this year. Overall I like ONx better. ONx showed a lot more old logging roads and such in the area I was hunting. Also can turn down the transparency on the layers which I didn’t figure out how to do in BaseMap. I am really disappointed when using this on my laptop. It crashed often for me as well. I don’t think I will purchase it again.

I've used OnX quite a bit but for the price I gave BaseMap a try. I'm going to give it through the end of my subscription but unless it grows on me quite a bit more I will be going back to OnX.

That's about where I'm at with it currently. OnX is much more user friendly. I've never had issues with its functionality.

Anybody know of a way to organize waypoints and tracks and also do multi select for mass delete of same on the web map side?

Bummer I was considering trying them out. I guess I’ll just stick to OnX.
