I really like the First Lite stuff I have. I have the Red Desert Boxers and some minus 33 Boxers. The minus 33 fell like I am wearing a thong. They are a lot shorter then the First lite and then they ride up all the time. Bugs me really bad. The Red Desert are a good length and don't have any riding issues thus far.

Good info. Any noticeable differences in the actual material between the two?

I think the minus 33 feels a little softer, but could also be because I have had them a few years and washed them more. They are both way better then regular undies or boxers. Just can't stand how short the 33 are. I bet they are a good 4-6" shorter in the same size.

I have minus 33, first lite, and kuiu.
Kuiu are the tightest weave and most durable. They are also more athletic cut.
First lite is the loosest fit for me and least durable. I like the minus 33 solid color t's but the necks are wide cut/ very loose.
Kuiu 185 is my first pick for Sept. Colorado and I also had a 230 zip t packed in.

Interesting.. Can you expand as to how Icebreaker is WAY better? I'm curious.

I took 3 wool Kuiu tips to the NWT this year on my sheep hunt (2 light and 1 heavy), and all had holes in them by the end of the hunt - and some in just a few days. One of the guides I hunted with had an Icebreaker that was a couple of years old that had fewer holes. The Icebreaker undies I have that are ~5 years old have no holes. The Icebreaker stuff has a very different feel - thinner with a much tighter weave. In my limited experience the durability is miles better than the Kuiu. I think you are right that it has to do with the with the manufacturing process.
