Base Layer Recommendations

Looking to replace my Sitka Core Lightweight. Wanting to try something new. It doesn't need to be a top brand but don't mind if it's.

Important it has a facemask.

Just picked up the SG Helio as a mid layer.

Curious what you guys are liking. Thanks.

I use merino base layers from reputable companies when I see them go on sale. Basically, if I see good merino on sale for half price, I buy regardless of color. I also use merino neck gators to cover my face, or a sitka light or heavy weight hoody over my base layer.

Any recommendations for hunting pants? Just a good overall one dosent have to be rain proof but have pockets

Sitka mountain, kuiu attack, Kings Camo XKG, and Eddie Bauer guided good with solids. If you anticipate wearing in snow, I’d say kuiu guide, Sitka timberline, and Eddie Bauer guide with the fleece liner. They are all good, just keep eyes open for sales.

I've had great success with kuiu base layers i forget the weight but they are the boot height which has been a great innovation in base layers, I also like to pair those with stone glacier pants or kuiu attacks depending on the weather

Try a few different brands if you can. I like kuiu except it's more itchy to me than icebreaker or smartwool.

I'm very happy with my Arcteryx rho base layers.

They performs as intended, and are holding up well to +30 washes and several weeks off abrasive/active wear under my outer layers
